Chaves quiere acabar con el abandono escolar tras el bachillerato con ayudas de hasta 600 euros mensuales

El presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Chaves incluirá en su programa electoral para las elecciones autonómicas de marzo el establecimiento de una beca, de 6.000 euros anuales. El objetivo de esta iniciativa es evitar que los alumnos, una vez que terminan sus estudios de Enseñanza Obligatoria, abandonen el sistema educativo.
Aseveró que el éxito escolar es una "prioridad", no ya sólo por razones de equidad social, sino también por motivos económicos, ya que la competitividad en una economía globalizada depende también de una mayor cualificación de los recursos humanos.
